This job is a funded student employment position through the Government of Ontario’s Summer Experience Opportunities Program. Applicants must be full-time students at least 15 years old, who are currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution or within six months of graduation. | |
Job Summary: Reporting to the Library CEO, or designate, work as a member of our programming team. Their role will be to bring our summer programming out of the Library and into the community. They will be tasked with attending outdoor events to offer library programming tailored to the event. They will also assist with events within the Library and with circulation desk duties. Ideal candidates for this position will be highly motivated and creative, will thrive in a collaborative workplace, and will be comfortable working with children, families and the public. Previous experiencing working with and supervising children is an asset. The Summer Programming Assistant - Outreach will work thirty-five (35) hours per week, which may include some evening and weekend hours. The position will start Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 and end Friday August 22nd, 2025. | |
