Hourly Wage: 
Under 18 years of age: $16.20 per hour until September 30th then $16.60 per hour effective October 1st
18 years and over: $17.20 until September 30th then $17.60 effective October 1st
All other benefits as per the Employment Standards Act
Hours of Work: Primarily evenings and weekends as well as school holidays.
Job Summary:

Reporting to the Library CEO or designate, will assist the Library staff with day-to-day operations as directed with circulation, references, assisting patrons, programming, clerical activities, material selection and computer support.  Ideal candidates for this position will be highly motivated and detail oriented, will thrive in a collaborative workplace, and will be comfortable working with the public.
 
Position Requirements:
  • High School student, must be at least 14 years of age.
  • Be able to work evenings and weekends as required throughout the school year, as well as Professional Development (PD) days.
  • Demonstrated courteous and polite manner when dealing with the public
  • Good communication skills both oral and written
  • Experience in cash handling and working cash register considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, social media and video conferencing software
